WhereSettings Search engine

Pick Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Brave, Ecosia or Startpage. The same box has Search suggestions, which suggests searches as you type (never in private tabs).

To search with a different engine just once, pick it in the New Tab search box before you search. Your default stays the same.
